My Associate Degree Full of Success

Blog 44 imageEvery course, every apprenticeship of the associate degree brings you a WIN.
Every day in the college I come upon something new and these discoveries make my life better. Now I’m looking at my environment differently, I am able to see more in it, notice more things. Yes, like anybody, sometimes I make mistakes, but I now know how to help myself correct them and improve the conditions for my career education.

I remember when I took the course “Formulas for Business Success.” I found out FORMULAS for every condition that can exist in business and in life. These steps can be applicable to any aspect of life or business and bring about prosperity. Sounds like magic? Yes, it is magic! It works! I personally checked it out :-) It was a big discovery for me. I wish everyone the same discovery, especially those people looking for answers to questions like, “How to improve life?” Incidentally, now, with the overly talked about “financial instability,” when so many countries are in non-optimum conditions, this could help!

I gained a lot with my career education.  In the time since I’ve been here: I improved my ability to study, my communication skills, my persistence on getting things done, my business organization skills, and my effectiveness. I’ve also improved my handling of finances and work problems, knowing and using the “secrets” of how to be an EXECUTIVE and knowing how to predict and evaluate human behavior. And these are not all!

Additionally, you can always share your success with everyone in the Hubbard College of Administration. We have a tradition that after a student completes his/her course or apprenticeship, he tells about his wins to the other students in the class. I think it is really nice to know not only about your own success but also about successes of your friends! It proves one more time that I chose the right college for my career education.

Career Education: Another Step Closer to My Dream

Blog 43 imageI’m really happy that I had an opportunity to help Bassam’s on his career education’s apprenticeship, and a rare chance to work with Annie, who is a fashion designer. Bassam is a good leader who always gives positive orders and willing to give compliments when his employee did a good job. He hatted me properly, and made the job understandable so I always knew what I should do. He supervised me well while I was working on the tasks assigned. Bassam has the potential for leading others. I’m sure he will be an excellent executive.
Another special thing is, I’ve always been interested in fashion since I started reading fashion magazines, and watching some fashion programs on TV. However, I still felt confused about it, and didn’t know what kind of skills should be needed. This time I had a chance to actually work in a fashion studio, which gave me a lot of reality and more ideas about fashion. Besides, Bassam’s family business is also about fashion clothing, and I got to know more details from him too. After this, I feel I’m another step closer to my dream.

Associate Degree Success Story

Blog 42 imageExecutive basics/Effective Leadership

In this apprenticeship for my associate degree, I experienced how to give others positive orders and how to manage my team’s production.  In addition, doing the survey, I also comprehended how to make the public willing to answer our survey.  So sincerely, I learned a lot of know-how and practical experience of being an effective leader with high understanding.  It’s very cool; I invite everyone who hasn’t done this course yet to experience this amazing course!

WESLEY KUO, Team leader
What my team had to say:

JACK CHENG
It’s an interesting experience; I helped out Wesley to do some surveys.  I got lots of fun on this, especially in observing emotional response of others.  If I change my emotion to the particular emotion of the person answering the survey, he or she would answer; if not, he or she wouldn’t. It helps me have more reality on what I’m studying.

JOSH LIN
In this experience, you can really see how important it is that the senior who is familiar with the whole project be able to really guide and lead the team to get the project done. It’s quite important for a leader to know what to do with the project and get it done through his communication with good intention. That’s the vital know-how!

Career Education: Executive basics/Effective Leadership

Blog 41 imageJamie Chang’s career education success story, at the Hubbard College of Administration. This is the first time that I’m the leader who gives orders to other people and gets them to get the work done. In fact, I like to give orders instead of waiting to receive orders. From this apprenticeship, I learned that being a good leader isn’t that easy, but one needs to consider the whole organization and also the abilities of the staff.  For instance, you need to assign them and adjust the amount of work for each of them in order to avoid overwork and also you need to use judgment when something suddenly happens. Nevertheless, I realized how important organization and planning are because you need to be well prepared before you start doing a project. At last, I would like to say thank you to my staff, they did a good job! The project wouldn’t have been done without them. And I had a good time and a special experience.

Jamie Chang, Team Leader
What My Team Had To Say
Claire Tsai
I’m very happy to help Jamie to do her apprenticeship. I think she will become a good leader. She employed good skill to handle us. And she had a good plan to reach her targets and reach her quota. I had a good time. She led us step by step to get the win. This is a good apprenticeship to train a person how to become a good leader who knows how to handle things.

Hiro Suganuma
I’m very happy that I could get involved with Jamie’s apprenticeship! Promoting company is very vital and I was lucky that I experienced a promoting activity through Jamie’s apprenticeship.
Also she gave us good, positive orders that I would operate very well from.

Prevent Financial Crisis with the Right Career Education

Blog 40 imageThis is Elena, an Associate Degree student of Hubbard College of Administration. Today, I was reading the news about what is going on in my country, Russia, and I found this article:

“‘According to the latest official figures almost two million Russians lost their jobs between January and the end of March. This combination of rising unemployment and rising prices is what some analysts believe could lead to unrest unless the situation improves in the near future,’ says the BBC’s Richard Galpin in Moscow. ”

As part of my Associate Degree, I took the course “Financial Planning.”  Knowing this, I can see that only incompetent, ignorant financial management could wind up in such a crisis. This course gave me the data on how to increase my income, how to build up reserves of my company, control business expenses and set up a system that allows fast and accurate overview of the financial situation, etc.  This is incredible data!

Having this knowledge and APPLYING it no Crisis can occur! I really believe that managing any company, or even more importantly managing a country, is a big responsibility, which demands knowledge! Management of any group should know this! I can even say, “Must know this!” Maybe some governments need to redo their management career education subject and get adequate knowledge that works!

Life after Graduation with a Real Career Education

Blog 39 imageFrom going to Hubbard College of Administration, I have gained self-assurance from a technology in business that will be with me from now on. My career education has been very helpful to my life and I’m sure it will continue to do so.

I’ve gained many tools that I can apply in my professional life such as knowing technologies that help the functioning of a business, selling your products or moreover yourself to others, having knowledge in finance (especially in our present times) so as to stay solvent, using efficient technology to handle the volume of work that I do each and every day, and having good communication skills have helped me since my graduating from Hubbard College of Administration.

You really feel well trained and confident when you leave the college.  You are a person who could work at any business.  You are well trained and are a great resource that can help at any place you go.

Associate Degree Helps to Organize Your Business

Blog 38 imageOne of the greatest apprenticeships in my Associate Degree was “Basic Organization.” I was working with one of the best “green salons” in LA. It was great as I was able to thoroughly understand the workings of the company and created the Organizating Board for the company. It was a big success for me and I was absolutely happy to get the testimonial from Jennifer, the owner of the salon.

“I own a top rated green salon in Los Angeles. I have always wanted an Organizing Board for my salon, and I was thrilled when Hubbard College contacted me to be an apprenticeship location. I really ‘wished’ for this.

“Elena came to my salon and met with me a few times and we regularly communicated via email. She was polite and professional and fun to have around.
I really feel that she understood fully how to apply the principles of organizing to MY business and I knew that she understood that I wanted the end result to fully represent what I had created and what my products were. And it does!

“This Organizing Board puts sanity in my work area, my staff feel that it fully ‘puts them in place’ and builds our understanding and control over our positions and products. I LOVE showing it off to my clients and it is a valuable dissemination tool for showcasing Mr. Hubbard’s administrative technology, which has ALWAYS boomed my business when applied!

“I currently have another apprentice helping me with statistics & conditions, and I am learning a lot and my stats were up last week again!!! I know that this was due to increased understanding and application of this amazing technology!

“I hope there are other apprenticeships that I can help with, and take advantage of, because this is the best thing for business that you can imagine, and I feel like I’m ‘stealing,’ it’s so easy and fun!

All the best,
Jennifer Charm
Carabella Cosmetics & Skin Care
Chatsworth, LA”

This was a fantastic experience in my Associate Degree.

Career Education can be BIG FUN

Blog 37 imageA lot of people can start yawning when they hear words “STUDY” and “College Degree.” They associate study with something boring, uninteresting, with time spent in classrooms “listening” to a teacher , looking out the window and thinking it is so nice outside and “What am I doing here?” I thought the same way before I came to Hubbard College of Administration .You know, studying here has been a big discovery for me, Career Education can be BIG FUN!

At Hubbard College of Administration, you never just sit in the classroom and read a book or write essays, your course program is made in such way that you always do theory – practice, theory – practice. Read – go and practice! Complete your course, go to the business site and do your project! Do you think we have time to be bored? :-) . NO!

We have some classrooms for theory and for practice, so when you read or do written assignments you are in the silent room. And when you need to do a practice you go to a special practice classroom where you will not find “silence”. In fact, it can be very noisy, especially when some students do Training Drills from a course “How to Get Things Done.” It is one of the first courses in the Associate Degree and one of my favorite ones.  After these drills my intention and my ability to get things done increased so much! In my former job (and in my life) I preferred to do all the work by myself rather than to get other people do their jobs. I had a big problem to get things done and it was one of the reasons why I was so overburdened in my position. This course helped me solve this problem, it was a big win for me.

For more than one year I have studied here, I never was bored from my career education. I love study !

Enjoying Your Career Education

Blog 35 imageMy name is Elena and I’m a current student of the Associate Degree Program at Hubbard College of Administration.  I came from Russia to LA a year ago for my career education. Honestly, I never expected that it would be such a great experience for me! Since my first day in college I understood that it was a unique place.

Never before I have seen that in one classroom there can be people from different countries, different ages, different cultures, doing their own courses in the Associate Degree program and studying at their with own pace. I remember I was worried that I would have problems as my English in the beginning of my studies was pretty bad :-) . But these worries disappeared very fast as I could study at my own speed. Sure, in the beginning I was slower than now, but I used the study method taught here and this helped me to improve my English and be faster in my moving through my Associate Degree.

What I like too, instead of a teacher or a professor we have supervisors who are always willing and ready to help you to find an answer on ANY question, handle any problems or any barriers, which can happen during study.  It is amazing! Sometimes I was confused, tired, didn’t understand the material, was upset; I asked for help and in some minutes I felt that everything was very clear and understandable, I was bright and I was willing to continue! Never before, in my school or in my University did I experience this!

In this college, they help you to get knowledge and be yourself. That is some career education!

A College Degree that Really Matters

Blog 36 imageFive years ago I graduated from a Russian University in Moscow. I got a college degree as an environmental engineer. But soon after graduating, I started to ask myself, “Can I really work as an engineer? Do I have enough knowledge and experience to start working in this sphere?” Unfortunately, my answers to these questions were “NO.” After 5 years in the university, I had no idea how to apply that data which I “got” a diploma for. I was in confusion. I had a lot of problems finding a  job. At that time I had the idea that I needed another education which would give me tools for business and life, not just a piece of paper named a “diploma.” Now I am a student at Hubbard College of Administration and very close to finishing my Associate Degree. And this program is exactly what I wanted!

In this college degree it is quite remarkable that there are apprenticeships after almost every course you do. You cannot say, “I don’t know” or, “I am unable to apply the knowledge gotten!”  It is impossible, as you have to demonstrate it in the apprenticeships every time! :-) .

The study method used here is so great that every student KNOWS what he learned and IS ABLE TO APPLY and has lots of perspectives in their life regarding the data.

In some months, I am going back to my country. I am very confident in my future, I have my goal in life and I have management tools which will help me reach success in my life. Now, that is a career education.
