"The management training we took at the Hubbard College has turned out to be a real lifesaver for us. Soon after our training we began applying it and the business flooded in. Anyone can have a successful business if they apply what they learn at the College. The management technology is simple, easy and fun, not to mention financially rewarding.""

Associate Degree: Financial Planning Apprenticeship Client View

HCA- Blog 15Theta Media Group, Inc (TMG) consists of Theta Sound Studio, Theta Pro Video, Theta Type & Design, and the publication of the newspaper Wants & Needs.

Juan Carlos is an associate degree student from Hubbard College of Administration. He has been working with us on our financial planning.  He has taken me from having backlogs and operating on incomplete data to having my check registers up to date, my filing done, using allocation and set aside forms, graphs and having financial planning meetings with my husband, who is the Executive Director (ED).

Most of all Juan Carlos has started us on the path of L. Ron Hubbard Finance Technology.  Prior to this, I had vague concepts of how it worked but could not see how to implement it in our system or how to even start.  He has trained me and walked me through the various steps.  He even created Excel forms that I can use and grow with.  He made it simple and effective.  He has spent many hours with us and we value his time.

Juan Carlos also trained my husband as the ED, as to financial planning meetings.  He sat with us while we worked out our Financial Planning Program No.1, which is a program for carefully planned financial handling to result in an organization which is not only solvent, but expanding on a sound gradient scale, and compared it to our average income, which was not a pleasant thing to do.  But we came out better knowing where we really stand.

Juan Carlos worked out with us our Cash/Bills graph and even created the form for us to use.

This has been a long-time missing operating basis for us and now we are on the right track.  We can see how this will give us better control over our finances and life.

Juan Carlos has not only been very helpful but also very knowledgeable in making it safe for us to learn.  He can even make finances fun!  He is a great product of Hubbard College of Administration.

Thank you very much!

Associate Degree: Handling Confusion in the Workplace

associate degreeCarabella Cosmetics & Skin Care is the Valley’s premier Green salon, specializing in results-oriented skin treatments and selling organic & petro-chemical free skin care and cosmetics.  Carabella delivers clear, smooth skin…naturally!

I had a dilemma. I wanted to start a new service in the salon but I had no space for delivery and I had to clean out and re-arrange an office space into a delivery room. I also had to recreate an operating office space out of nothing!

Jonathan came to me from Hubbard College of Administration (HCA) and he helped me handle the confusion by having me do one action at a time and confronting the mess in order to clean it up. I needed someone to act as a sounding board and he was excellent. I separated out my business and personal belongings, and I got everything arranged by division and filed away. Now my personal and business papers are all cleaned up and at hand!

Jonathan really helped me to confront and handle what I had been “ignoring” for weeks. Now, I have launched my new service and the space looks neat as a pin!

Thank you Jonathan and HCA for all your expert help!
I recommend this service to all business owners everywhere!

Associate Degree: How to Increase Efficiency in Your Company

Associate degreeWhen I started the “How to Increase Efficiency in Your Company” course for my associate degree, I saw the check sheet (Oh My God!!). I saw one part that got me nervous, a 51 item verbatim drill.  I thought that this drill was going to be very difficult for me. Nevertheless, I just followed the check sheet.

As I studied, I found many interesting data. For instance, before I came to Hubbard College of Administration my manager told me, “We need to start using the three-basket system in our company.” I followed his instructions, but I didn’t know why.  Additionally, he recommended the use of a specific format for submitting requests.  I actually didn’t know why I was using this particular tool, but I used it anyway.  (Ha-ha…. That is very funny. I didn’t know “why” I just did it!!)

Now, I know the reason why. For example, the three-basket system can be used to diagnose an area’s efficiency. These tools are basic, but many staff don’t know the reason for their use. We need to let everybody know.

In this course, I learned how to write and properly route the communications in the organization. This is really important.  If you don’t know and use these tools, it will become a big problem in the organization.

Finally, the biggest discovery is developed traffic (Dev-T). This means unusual and unnecessary work.   Dev-t can destroy an organization.  Now I know what it is and how to find and eliminate it.  This is really a big stable datum in the organization. In my opinion, not only executives need to know this datum the staff more so need to know it.

Associate Degree: Financial Planning Apprenticeship

Juan CarlosI had a great time working on this apprenticeship for my associate degree.  The tools learned on this level allowed me to gain a clear picture of the true financial state of any business.

It was often surprising to discover the true condition a group was in through their financial information.  Bank accounts are unforgiving, and if an organization is making it or not is unmistakably shown in their financial data.

Fortunately, whatever the challenge is, the Financial Planning Course/Apprenticeship gives one the skill to improve the condition.  Solvency and profitability are not accidents.  They show industry and excellent financial control.  No organization can be successful if it lacks sound financial policy and practice.  This is what I gained from the Financial Planning course/apprenticeship.

Career Education: Chief Executive Officer Training

HCA- Blog 11I just completed my Executive Director Mini Hat as part of my Master Consultant Certificate for my career education. Hat is a slang term for the title and work of a position in an organization. I personally wouldn’t think this course is a “Mini Hat.”  I think by just having the information given on this course any executive, young or old, can get the job done. One of the things I learned in this course was a breakthrough in Debug Technology. The word “bugged” is slang for snarled up or halted; “debug” is to get the snarls or stops out of it.

I have worked with quite a few companies, and I have noticed many bugs. Funny thing is everyone sees and knows there is a bug somewhere in the company but they don’t know how to debug it. So they come up with very wild ideas and some are very costly! However, it is very simple to debug. There are a few actions that need to take place and BAM the bug is found and handled. This debug breakthrough is very important for any organization because thousands of dollars are spent in programs and projects and these bugs make it even more costly and sometimes it even stops the project completely.

I strongly recommend anyone to come study this course. Do it for the sake of the survival of your organization and group. I am very happy to know this data and I know I can apply it and get the job done. Isn’t that what every executive wants “to get the job DONE”? Here is your chance!

Associate Degree: Final Internship

HCA- Blog 10This internship for my associate degree was not only a great learning experience but also really a fun experience. David, the Executive Director, and I got along very well, which made things fun. David is the kind of guy that never gets ‘serious,’ which is really great and makes his employees fun to be around.

You can imagine moving three entire studios with the help of only three employees, during the hottest month of the year while the employees were still running a full-time operation. I felt at times I was a good stabilizing influence being at the site, which helped eliminate a lot of confusion.  Using the tools I learned on my Associate Degree helped me immensely in sorting through confusion and in making the right decisions. I felt that I helped the company make a smooth and successful move to its new bigger facility.

During my internship David told me that he’d like to hire me later this year for a few PR projects. This showed me that an executive trusted me and that I wasn’t just ‘free help,’ which is the way most interns are treated in the Industry. In a personal conversation with David about my career, he told me, in earnest, that he thought I’d do great in any field because my duplication and ability to learn was so keen.

I really see that the administrative technology (Admin Tech) as taught here at Hubbard College of Administration are tools for you to use. Just like a nail gun, it makes nailing things easier… once you get the hang of it. You sure can go ahead and use a hammer and a nail and you’ll get the same result hours later with a few bent nails and a sore thumb. Admin Tech is really a tool just like the nail gun; if you get the hang of it, it makes getting the job done easier–but you have to read the manual! (Go to Hubbard College of Administration.)

Empirically, I have learned much from this internship. My observations throughout my various apprenticeships showed me that any business’ success in whatever zone of activity was directly proportional to its employment of Admin Tech.  So even if you can’t have 100% implementation at the beginning, start using the Admin Tech and implement it as you cope and then one day you’ll have full application of the Admin Tech and unshakeable success.

My Associate Degree Internship: More Than Just Business

HCAI’m just wrapping up a 200-hour internship, which will conclude my Associate of Applied Science in Business Administration Degree. When I started the associate degree program in July, I knew I’d be going into a company, using the administrative tools I have learned, and putting order into organizations as in prior apprenticeships. The Hubbard College of Administration staff really helped me find a great location for the internship. I told the internship supervisor that I’d like to have an internship site in an art related field.  I was set up with an audio post-production facility in Burbank, California. The company, Juniper Post, does sound design, mixing and recording for film and television.  It is an Emmy Award winning company.

I worked there for over a month managing current programs. I would never have gotten this experience at any other career college.

If it’s experience that executives look for in hiring staff, then you certainly get it here in your career education.

Associate Degree: How to Effectively Handle Work

HCA- Blog 8For this apprenticeship, I was able to work with a few of the people in my office.  There were a lot of small things that I was able to help handle.  People having trouble with their computers, messy desks and incomplete cycles of action are many common things that are seen in my office.

Through this apprenticeship, I was able to do easy handlings and get people to feel 100 times better about their workspace and their ability to get their work done.  I can tell I really helped with things that were slowing these people down not only at work, but in life.  My office is a totally different place to work since I have started doing my apprenticeships there…in a good way! I loved doing this apprenticeship as part of my associate degree program, and I can really see the value of the data I get here at Hubbard College of Administration.

Associate Degree: Handling the Ups & Downs in Life Course

HCA- Blog 7After I completed my associate degree course, I know the reason why a person will get ill or make a mistake. There must be someone who was suppressing him. I can recognize the antisocial personality and the social personality, too. That is very important because if there is an antisocial personality around you, he will suppress you and make you feel sick or make you make mistakes. Antisocial personalities seek to destroy, so they have to be under control.  If a social personality displayed antisocial characteristics, you should know why and how to help him.  Even if he is a social personality when he is suppressed, he will display some antisocial attributes, that doesn’t mean he is an antisocial personality. So, we have to recognize that. I also learned how to handle the people under suppression; there are six steps. In this course, there are many useful data.

Career Education: Success Story Basic Organization Apprenticeship

HCA- Blog 6Josh has been helping our company put in an Organizing Board he learned for his career education.  His help has been invaluable.

On his first visit, he persisted until he understood the basics of how our company functions.

Then he duplicated our communication about wanting a seven (7) Division Organizing Board.  Thereafter, he has been prepared for our meetings, having drawn out an Organizing Board which applies to our company.  He has consulted policy regularly, as well consults with his supervisor when necessary.

It is obvious that Josh understands the material and can apply it, even in a foreign language.

Having him here has resulted in getting us to confront putting this in and working it out so that it will be useful to us.

I am learning about the Organizing Board and having cognitions, and I can see that this is not only going to help me BE the ED (Executive Director), but it will help our company as well.

I have studied this material before and never really understood it enough to put it in, so I am having wins on this.
