Associate Degree: Final Internship
This internship for my associate degree was not only a great learning experience but also really a fun experience. David, the Executive Director, and I got along very well, which made things fun. David is the kind of guy that never gets ‘serious,’ which is really great and makes his employees fun to be around.
You can imagine moving three entire studios with the help of only three employees, during the hottest month of the year while the employees were still running a full-time operation. I felt at times I was a good stabilizing influence being at the site, which helped eliminate a lot of confusion. Using the tools I learned on my Associate Degree helped me immensely in sorting through confusion and in making the right decisions. I felt that I helped the company make a smooth and successful move to its new bigger facility.
During my internship David told me that he’d like to hire me later this year for a few PR projects. This showed me that an executive trusted me and that I wasn’t just ‘free help,’ which is the way most interns are treated in the Industry. In a personal conversation with David about my career, he told me, in earnest, that he thought I’d do great in any field because my duplication and ability to learn was so keen.
I really see that the administrative technology (Admin Tech) as taught here at Hubbard College of Administration are tools for you to use. Just like a nail gun, it makes nailing things easier… once you get the hang of it. You sure can go ahead and use a hammer and a nail and you’ll get the same result hours later with a few bent nails and a sore thumb. Admin Tech is really a tool just like the nail gun; if you get the hang of it, it makes getting the job done easier–but you have to read the manual! (Go to Hubbard College of Administration.)
Empirically, I have learned much from this internship. My observations throughout my various apprenticeships showed me that any business’ success in whatever zone of activity was directly proportional to its employment of Admin Tech. So even if you can’t have 100% implementation at the beginning, start using the Admin Tech and implement it as you cope and then one day you’ll have full application of the Admin Tech and unshakeable success.

Congratulations Cassidy
Very well done on completing your Degree Program Internship; you finally made it to the top of the mountain
I am HCA Graduate and I am on my Consultant Levels and knowing the path you had to travel to get to your level, I have to say when I finally get there, I had a powerful feeling. It feels like you can get anything done!!!
Also, it is true what you said about the executive wanting to hire you and the trust he had in you. Personally wherever I go I get an offer for a job. We are trained, skilled, and competent executives, who wouldn’t want to hire us? Now my question to anyone is the following, “Wouldn’t you want to go to a college that you almost have a 100% job placement?” I know I would.
Sooo, Cassidy, what are you up to next? Are going to come and join me on the Consultant Levels? If you think climbing a mountain was a big achievement, I challenge you to a trip to the moon! haha
I like to know what you are doing next, so let me know
