The Consultant Level 2 Internship was truly amazing! I had an opportunity to work with a consulting company, and the interesting part was that this consultant company needed consulting themselves. I went in I looked at their Public Relations division (Sales) statistics, which had been lacking significantly. I was able to interview the Executives to see what the Executives needed and wanted from me. Then I started working with the person whose production was bugged.

I was able to instantly spot negative and positive points; I was actually surprised because I have no experience in their field. Then I gave the person some recommendations and started with the Product Debug action (an action learned from the Product Debug course at HCAI). Within hours we spotted what was the problem, I wrote a handling for it. And in few days, the personís statistics were high; higher than they have ever been for anyone that was working in that position!

This was a great feeling, I was able to help someone and it really didnít take much effort. It was amazing that I didnít do the job for them. All I had to do was find what was wrong and tell them how to fix it by showing them the right references from the course. In addition, I was able to create such good relationship from the products that I produced at my internship site that I feel like everyone there respects me and wants me to help them with their production.

I really enjoyed doing consultant Level II. It was an experience for me to see how capable and competent I have become since learning this Administrative Technology, and how much more valuable I am to my society as a consultant and as person. I know I can produce the amount of change needed!

In this modern society, Public Relations (PR) becomes a common word, but What does PR mean? Who should use PR? Where does PR apply? When should PR be used? It may seem that there are a thousand answers to these questions. However, this course answered ALL OF THEM! This course contains an organized, systematic and applicable description, which makes the complex subject ñ PR become easier to understand.

Before I took this course, I thought PR was just used in a large company or by rich men, not by the normal person like myself. After reading this course, my viewpoint completely changed. I just realized that PR should be applied to anyone. This is an information age. The competition in a multitude of ways can attack a company. How do you handle that? Using PR technology will help make your company well known on your terms.

In this course, I cleared a lot of false ideas and fixed ideas I had about PR. Now, I have a much better understanding on this subject. This is not a difficult subject, and I recommend that you come study it. Doing so will give you the confidence I have on the subject. It also helped me increase my ability to handle my life, and I feel great about that.

By Josh Lin, a Taiwanese student from Taichung on the Associate Degree Program at the Hubbard College of Administration (HCA), Los Angeles, CA.

I’ve been wondering why people do this or do that for a long while; I really wanted to know why. I wanted to know how to get along well with people. Or when I see some human reaction, I wanted to know how to handle it. Unfortunately, I never got this question sorted out. By doing this course ìHow to Evaluate and Predict Human Behavior,î I got a framework of understanding that allowed me to resolve this issue for myself. Now I am more confident about dealing with people.

Handling people is built on three essential factors: Affinity (closeness), Reality and Communication. They form what is called the ARC Triangle. The three factors are directly correlated. Meaning as one moves up, the others move up, as one moves down the others move down. It is very important to know this when one is dealing with people or inanimate objects. For example, if I want to know something better, then I need to reach it, which requires increasing my affinity toward that. When I communicate with it, I get more reality about it.

Another important tool I learned about human behavior centers around emotional tone. I learned that each emotional tone has a predictable set of physiological and behavioral correlates. For instance, how one listens or speaks will differ for a person who is angry versus a person who is cheerful. There is even more to this, no matter what emotional tone someone is in, in order to deal with him or her effectively, one needs to use the ARC Triangle.

In conclusion, by doing this course I acquired at least two vital tools for answering my initial questions about human behavior. Beyond that, the same tools turned out to be fundamental in handling the material world as well. I am now more confident about my ability to deal with my life.

Hubbard College of Administration is a self-paced business school that offers an exceptional business administration curriculum, unique learning technology, life-changing apprenticeships and internships, assistance with job placement and a lifetime warranty for students. I am currently on the “How to Increase Efficiency in Your Business” apprenticeship.

Everyone knows what ìPRî stands for, but what does it really mean? PR is ìEffective cause well demonstrated.î In short, PR is publicizing effective causes that you have done to society or people. Doing so will cause an organization or individual to have good PR. These days, PR is sometimes conceived as only how you walk, how you talk, how you dress, etc. This is incidental to the ìEffective cause well demonstrated.î

In history, renowned opinion leaders have used PR to influence and mold public opinion either to idealize them or to degrade others. Reading Effective Public Relations gave me a lot of reality on how PR has developed from its early stages to what PR is known as today. This book presented some of the campaigns executed by major corporations and indicated what was effective and what failed. The book was a compilation of important data about PR and its use.

I recently completed my Public Relations Apprenticeship at the Hubbard College of Administration and I was very happy with the outcome. On this apprenticeship, I did many drills on how to handle different situations that are related to public relations that come up in the real business world: manners, opinion leaders, how to handle an enemy line, handling black PR, how to create a safe space from which to promote one’s company (safe pointing), the PR process in total to name a few. These drills took the theory of the “Public Relations” course and gave it mass.

This was really amazing because after doing these drills I began to notice that many big well-known companies don’t know how to handle their image correctly. They don’t know the rules of PR and so they get themselves into situations that make them look unprofessional. With this course and apprenticeship, you gain the tools to establish good relations with the public. In addition, you gain tools to handle negative press or engineered campaigns against your company.

Knowing how to present yourself and your business is a key factor to being successful. Therefore, knowing PR is vital!

I am Franco Chavez, a Peruvian student from Lima on the associate degree program at the Hubbard College of Administration (HCA), Los Angeles, CA. I just recently finished my “Public Relations” apprenticeship. I have to admit that I was a little worried about how I was going to host an event for the purpose of introducing new people to a product or service. To handle the situation, I just applied what I had learned in earlier courses at Hubbard College of Administration.

Through this apprenticeship, I realized the importance of PR for any business that wants to be successful. Successful companies employ PR to improve the relationship with their public. PR increases public awareness of the company, resulting in increased demand for its products or services. PR helps a firm go from being a ghost to being a reality to its public.

During this global economic crisis, PR can be a great tool. Now is the time for companies to focus on their Public Relations. They must begin by doing surveys to find out what their public needs and wants, then deliver a high quality product or service to satisfy that. Additionally, companies need to identify the opinion leaders in their area and build a relationship with them and to get them to help promote their product or service. In addition, companies must handle any black PR coming from competitors that want to see them out of the market, leaving those competitors in a position to set prices according to what the market will bear. In summary, building a strong and stable relationship with the public is an essential aspect of ensuring viability, and that is the role of PR.

The HCA is a self-paced business school that offers an exceptional business administration curriculum, unique learning technology, life-changing apprenticeships and internships, assistance with job placement and a lifetime warranty for students. I am currently on the Sales course for my career education.
